What happens on your device

PixReap scans, filters, matches, and downloads images entirely inside your own browser. The content of the pages you visit — including every image URL, filename, and any sample image you upload for matching — is never sent to PixReap's servers. Scan history is stored only in your local browser storage (chrome.storage.local) and never uploaded.

What our license server sees

PixReap's extension talks to our server (api.pixreap.com) only for licensing, free-trial counting, HD source rules, and tamper detection. Specifically:

• A randomly generated device identifier (not your name, email, or Google account) used to count your 5 free trial scans.
• Your IP address, used only for abuse prevention and rate limiting.
• Your license key, when you activate a subscription — validated through Lemon Squeezy, our payment and licensing provider.
• SHA-256 hashes of the extension's own code files, used to detect tampered copies. This never includes your data.

What we never collect

We do not collect the images you scan or download, the pages you visit, your browsing history, or any personal profile data. Anonymous usage telemetry is off by default and only sent if you explicitly opt in from the Settings page.

Payments

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. PixReap never receives or stores your payment card details.

Data retention

Device identifiers and free-trial counters are kept only as long as needed for abuse prevention. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us below.
